One of my core passions is designing and constructing bespoke housing solutions for fragile and unique archival materials. Proper enclosures are fundamental to long-term preservation: they stabilise vulnerable objects, reduce handling risks, and ensure safe storage and access.
I have extensive experience in creating a range of custom housings tailored to the needs of individual items, including: clamshell boxes, two-piece drop-front boxes, phase boxes, spacers, book wedges, and secure housing for broken glass plate negatives.
My approach combines technical precision with creative problem-solving, ensuring each housing solution meets archival standards while addressing the unique requirements of the object. I particularly enjoy the process of design and construction, and the creativity it requires.Â
